Role: Leadership Development & Coaching Partner (in-house, full-time)
Location: 5 days a week — London Head Office, White City (W12 7FR)
Reporting to: Head of HR, UK
Functional alignment: Global Head of Coaching & Development
This is an in-house, embedded role — not a consulting engagement or external coaching practice. You’ll be a permanent member of our UK team, working shoulder-to-shoulder with managers every day from our White City office.
The Leadership Development & Coaching Partner will work directly with managers across Flatpay UK, from first-time team leads to regional leaders, helping them lead confidently, manage performance effectively and build high-performing teams.
This is not a traditional L&D role. It is a hands-on, commercially focused position embedded within a fast-moving, sales-driven environment. The role focuses on strengthening manager capability, improving performance conversations, embedding consistent probation standards and reducing early attrition through stronger leadership.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and continuously improve the UK leadership development programme, coaching managers 1:1 and in group settings on accountability, performance conversations, expectations and team leadership.
- Support first-time managers in building structured, consistent leadership habits, and facilitate practical, high-impact sessions on difficult conversations, standards and driving results.
- Support managers in applying probation and performance processes consistently and confidently, including guidance on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and documentation standards.
- Partner with People Operations to monitor probation outcomes and early-tenure attrition, identifying trends linked to leadership capability and intervening early.
- Partner with Sales Coaches and Training teams to identify leadership capability gaps linked to revenue performance and productivity, translating commercial priorities into targeted leadership development interventions.
- Provide pragmatic recommendations to the Head of HR on development priorities, capability risks and consistent manager performance standards across departments and regions.
- Reinforce leadership behaviours aligned with Flatpay’s high-performance culture and reduce reactive escalations through proactive coaching and clearer expectations.
Skills & Attributes
- Track record of coaching managers in-house within a fast-paced, commercially driven business (ideally sales-led) — not as an external consultant or freelance coach.
- Strong capability in performance coaching and accountability conversations.
- Comfortable working with ambitious, high-performing leadership teams day in, day out.
- Confident challenging constructively and holding standards.
- Strong understanding of performance data and commercial drivers.
- Pragmatic, resilient, and focused on outcomes rather than theory or frameworks.
- Thrives in growth environments where pace and ambiguity are the norm.
- Experience contributing to leadership development programmes within scaling organisations is highly desirable.

- Fluent in English.
- Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we can’t offer visa sponsorship right now).
